Ready to stand up against human trafficking in your community?

Campus Reps

Ready to stand up against human trafficking in your community?

Applications coming soon!

The Red Sand Project Campus Rep Program is a chance for passionate student organizers to stand up for human rights and to take action against one of our generation’s greatest evils: human trafficking.

Campus reps work with the Red Sand Project team to create an experience totally unique to you — one that focuses on the needs of your school and your own personal growth. Over the course of ten months, participants around the United States will learn about vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking, plan and host events, help grow the Red Sand Project network and represent the Project nationally.

Campus reps gain access to leaders in the field and other resources and a unique network of activists across the country. Plus, we think you’re part of something pretty incredible.

We are currently accepting small cohorts of ambassadors and campus representatives, but we invite everyone to apply to the program and to spread the word. We’re here to help you each step of the way in the application process

All candidates must submit an online application

Look for applications opening in the fall!

Second-round candidates must submit:

  • An up-to-date resume and photo
  • A recent writing sample about a topic related to social change

NOTE: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and we will be in touch with applicants throughout the process. Please keep in mind that selected ambassadors must be available for the major Red Sand Project events and trainings.

What is the purpose of the Red Sand Project campus rep program?

We want to help grow the anti-trafficking movement and inspire action through Red Sand Project around the world! We hope that our ambassadors and campus reps can learn more about human trafficking, take action and be a part of a growing network.

I submitted my application a while ago. What happened to it?

In our first year, we got tons of applications from so many incredible people! We’re in the process of refining the program and reaching out to all of you. Stay tuned as we really get this program going!

When will I find out if I have been selected as a Red Sand Project campus rep?

We’re working as quickly as we can to identify potentials campus reps! The entire process should take about 4 weeks while we are reviewing applications. If any of this takes longer than anticipated, we’ll get in touch via email…but feel free to contact us!

What is the time commitment for a Red Sand Project campus rep?

We know you’re all busy people, so we want to be respectful of your time! Campus reps are asked to attend several Red Sand Project trainings via phone and online. Generally, we estimate that campus reps will spend 5-10 hours per month on the program – but you’re welcome to give as much time as you’d like to it!
